Muskego woman injured in early morning crash, Flight For Life called

A 26-year-old Muskego woman was seriously injured in a fiery accident early this morning in Dodge County.   According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, the woman was thrown from her 2011 Ford pickup truck when it left the roadway and crashed into a tree at the intersection of CTH S and State HWY 67 north of Iron Ridge around 1:35 AM Saturday.  The woman was taken by Flight For Life to Aurora Summit Hospital with what are described as serious injuries.

According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, the woman was east bound on CTH S when she apparently failed to stop at the intersection with HWY 67.  The vehicle crossed both lanes of traffic, left the road, crashed into a large tree and then burst into flames.   According to the report, the female driver was ejected from the vehicle before it became fully engulfed in fire.  According to the Sheriff’s report, she was the only person in the vehicle.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team and alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident.
