Muskego woman injured in burning pit accident

A Muskego woman is in the hospital tonight with 2nd and 3rd degree burns to 40-percent of her body suffered in an accident Sunday morning, according to fire officials.   The Tess Corners Fire Department in Muskego was called to the accident at a single family residence on North Shore Drive just west of Racine Avenue around 11:40 Sunday morning.   According to authorities, the woman was injured while she was using a burn pit at the residence.  The woman was flown by Flight For Life to St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of her injuries.   An adult male was also injured in the accident, receiving minor burns to his hands.  The circumstances surrounding the accident are still under investigation.
