MPS Holds First-Ever All-Alumni Reunion

MPS graduates gathered for a high school reunion on Tuesday night.

Hundreds of former students caught up, or met for the very first time during the district's first ever "All-Alumni Reunion." The idea is to get people from every generation to show some school spirit and connect with new friends and reconnect with old ones.

"I think this is a good step in getting the community back involved through mentoring, through volunteering," said Marquez Guzman, a 2007 MPS graduate.

"I see most of them though at our summer reunion. My class, '49, has a reunion every summer. We're having our 67th summer reunion this coming summer on my birthday," said Jack Hughes, MPS Class of 1949.

In addition to the reunion, MPS is collaborating with alumni networks to build an “Alumni Hub,” an online platform for graduates to connect with one another, their alma maters and district happenings.
