MPD makes arrest in armed robbery of business near 26th and National

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police arrested a suspect believed to be involved in an armed robbery of a business near 26th and National. 

The robbery happened on Monday, Dec. 2 just after 8 a.m. 

Police say criminal charges will be presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for a business armed robbery that occurred on Monday, Dec. 2.

It happened around 8:05 a.m. near 26th and National Avenue. 

Authorities say the suspect entered the business establishment and brandished a serrated knife at the cashier, demanding merchandise. After obtaining the merchandise, the suspect fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a black male, 50-53 years old, standing 5'9" and weighing 170 pounds with facial hair. He was wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, a green hooded sweatshirt under a red jacket with blue and white sleeves, black pants and gray shoes.
