MPD Officer and Subject Injured in Hit and Run Accident

Two people, including a Milwaukee Police Officer, were injured by a hit and run driver late last night.  Both the officer and second individual were treated at a local hospital for minor injuries and then released. 

The accident occurred around 10 PM in the 4700 block of W. Locust Street as a uniformed officer was making an arrest of a suspect wanted for a state offense.  Both the officer and the suspect were standing in the street when a vehicle traveling east on Locust stuck the pair.  After the collision the vehicle fled the scene and has yet to be located.  The Milwaukee Police continue to investigate the incident.
