MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Four children who were passengers in a stolen car were hurt, one seriously, after a police chase ended in a crash in Milwaukee Thursday night.

The crash happened near the corner of 30th and Center. Milwaukee Police say officers began a car chase with a vehicle that was taken in a strong armed robbery around 11:00 p.m. The chase had been going for about a mile when the car ran a stop sign on 30th and was hit by another car driving on Center. The suspect car had three adults and four children in it. One of the children was just 10 months old, another about a year and a half. The other kids were 7 and 10. All of them were injured and one of the children has severe injuries.

The people in the other car involved were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

One man who lives in the area says he heard it all happen.

"I was watching TV and it was really loud, but when I came out, there was a lot of commotion and people, 'cause there was some people still stuck in the car, you know what I'm saying, so they were trying to get those folks out and it took a minute," said Jamie Murray who lives on 30th Street near the crash.

The three adults in the suspect vehicle were treated and are now in custody. One of the children is still in the hospital.
