MPD investigating Saturday and Sunday shootings

An altercation between two men early this morning lead to the shooting of one of the men.  His wounds are described as serious.  According to the Milwaukee Police Department, a 36-year-old man was shot by a 39-year-old man following a confrontation around 2:05 AM Sunday in the area of  N 39th Street and W Meinecke Avenue.   The victim was taken to local hospital for treatment of his wounds.   The Police are currently looking for the  39-year-old  known suspect.

Around 5:10 PM Saturday afternoon, a 38-year-old man was shot while in the area of N 6th Street and W North Avenue.   According to the MPD, the victim was shot during a confrontation with a second man.   The suspect fled the scene and is being sought by the Police.   The victim was taken to a local hospital and is treated for what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
