Milwaukee’s 152nd Annual Memorial Day Parade

The 152nd Annual Memorial Day Parade in Milwaukee kicks off today at 2 PM.

This year the parade honors the USO.  The parade Grand Marshalls are Bob and Kathy Hawkins.  The Milwaukee Veteran of the Year is Dick Trawicki.

The parade starts at 4th and Wisconsin and goes east to the War Memorial Center.  Immediately following the parade there will be a wreath laying, POW/MIA ceremony at the  Reflecting Pool on Fitch Plaza.   The Metropolitan Community Band will perform during the ceremony. 

The Milwaukee Memorial Day parade has been a tradition since 1865.  It is presented by the Volunteers of the General Memorial Day Committee and is funded entirely by private contributions.   Contributions can be sent to the General Memorial Day Committee, C/O War Memorial Center, 750 North Lincoln Memorial Drive, Milwaukee, WI  53202.
