Milwaukee Police visit Bradley Tech High School in an Effort to Prevent Carjackings

More than 50 students heard about the dangers of carjacking and joyriding over the weekend.

The "My Brother's Keeper" initiative visited Bradley Tech High School.

They talked about peer pressure, responsibility and dignity.

Milwaukee Police and local officials were also there.

They tried to get the teens' point of view.

One officer said he hopes the event will help them make better choices this summer.

"Part of what we wanted to do today was to message to the young people that this type of behavior is very dangerous. We show the video, the outcome when these accidents happen. We also want to talk with them and not at them. We want them to understand that we care,” said Capt. Ray Banks.

Police said they have arrested 483 teenagers since last year.
