Police: 3 women injured in separate robberies on Milwaukee's east side

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a series of robberies on the city's east side that are believed to be related.

Police say on Sunday, April 25, an unknown suspect struck a woman several times near Frederick and Farwell Avenue before taking her property. Officials say it happened just before 2 p.m. and the victim did not request medical attention.

On Thursday, April 29, authorities say an unknown suspect approached a woman near Woodstock and Summit Avenue, intentionally struck her and took her property. It happened around 4:15 p.m.

The victim, a 26-year-old Milwaukee woman, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated on the scene. 

Police say the suspect in this incident was described as an African American male, 20-27 years of age, 5'6" and 120 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap and a black hooded sweatshirt. 

Officials say on the same date, around the same time, another woman was struck by a suspect near Summit and Downer Avenue. Her property was taken and medical attention was not requested.
