Off-duty Cleveland police officer involved in deadly shooting in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Authorities determined a fatal shooting in Milwaukee involved an off-duty Cleveland Division of Police officer. 

Officials said it happened near 17th and Vliet Streets May 15. 

According to Milwaukee police, the officer fired in self-defense during an armed robbery attempt. 

A 17-year-old from Milwaukee was killed. 

This investigation is ongoing and Milwaukee police continue to seek two suspects related to the armed robbery attempt.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 17-year-old from Milwaukee is latest victim of violence. Milwaukee police report he was killed just after midnight on Sunday, May 15, near 17th and Vliet streets.

CBS 58 is working to find out how the boy died. Officials say the incident may be related to a robbery, and the teen had a firearm.
