Milwaukee man suffers serious injuries after shooting near 57th and Villard

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was shot near 57th and Villard on Saturday, Feb. 20.

Milwaukee police say it happened just before 9 a.m. 

The victim was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation.

Police are looking for a known suspect.

The victim marks the sixth person shot in the last 12 hours in Milwaukee.

A 29-year-old man was shot near 55th and Hampton shortly after 10 p.m. Friday night.

A 44-year-old man was shot near 92nd and Custer just before 2 a.m. Saturday morning.

A 24-year-old Kenosha man, a 25-year-old Kenosha man, and a 28-year-old Chicago man were shot in a triple shooting in the 1300 block of Center Street Saturday morning.
