Milwaukee Man Arrested for 8th OWI, Admits to Drinking a Martini and Taking Adderall Pills Before Crashing Car

A Milwaukee man has admitted to drinking a martini and taking Adderall pills before crashing his car on the I43 northbound on the Howard off-ramp in Milwaukee.
A van, driven by Michael Baeckmann, struck a trailer attached to a pickup truck on the off ramp, dislodging the trailer from the truck and pushing the vehicle off the ramp.
Baeckmann told deputies that he had a martini and Adderall pills prior to the crash.
He tested .18 on a PBT.
The 49-year-old has seven prior convictions for drunken driving. If convicted of his 8th offense, Baeckmann faces up to ten years in prison.
