Milwaukee firefighters rescue family

MILWAUKEE-Fire crews helped pull several children from a burning home near 38th and Rohr Friday.

When crews arrived the children were trying to escape out a back window.

Firefighters made sure each of the children who was visible got out then went inside to see if anyone else needed help.

\"While we were doing that search the fire got away from us a little bit in the front,\" Battalion Chief Michael Blackwood told CBS 58 News, \"We had to pull everybody out. Go defensive to protect the building on each side and then knocked the fire down and went back in.\"

Crews found a propane tank, similar to ones used for a gas grill, inside the home.

They say that did make the fire worse, but they can't say for sure yet what exactly sparked the blaze.
