Milwaukee Fire Department responds to Sunday morning fire

The Milwaukee Fire Department responded to an early morning today in a rear cottage at S 11^th and W Burnham Streets.   According to MFD authorities, the fire was reported just after 6 AM in the vacant building at the rear of the property.  The cottage was fully involved in flames when firefighters arrived and was threatening the house on the front of the property.   Firefighters were able to contain the fire within a half hour.   No one was injured and according to the MFD, no one was reported displaced by the fire.   The cause of the fire is being investigated and the dollar amount of damage is yet to be determined.
