Michigan man wins Million dollar Powerball drawing

A Michigan man is the lucky winner of the $1,000,000 prize from the Saturday, August 1 Powerball drawing.
John Madsen of Amasa, Michigan won the lotto.
Madsen purchased his winning ticket at Poy Sippi Amoco on 239 Main Street in Poy Sippi. Retailers receive a two percent incentive when a winning ticket is sold, which is $20,000 in this case.
The winning Powerball numbers from August 1 were 7, 13, 24, 49 and 57 with a Powerball of 15. The Power Play number was 3. Madsen matched the five regular winning numbers, but not the Powerball.
