Menomonee Falls Police Investigate Package

On Saturday, October 10 at 2:00 PM, the Menomonee Falls Police Department responded to the report of a suspicious package found near a row of mailboxes outside the U.S. Post Office in the W16100 block of Appleton Ave.
The Milwaukee Police Department Bomb Squad was asked to assist in assessing the package. Until that assessment could be accomplished, and to ensure safety, traffic along Appleton Ave. was halted for approximately two and a half hours.
It was determined that the package was harmless, and contained ordinary mail.
