Congratulations, Ellie! Meet your new We Energies Safe Digging Ambassador

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- We Energies has chosen their new Canine Safe Digging Ambassador.

Ellie, a 4-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier/Whippet mix from Waukesha, was voted top dog in the contest.

Ellie will now help spread an important message from We Energies regarding safe digging. 

Ellie was the dog that received the most votes on Facebook in the contest.  

In addition to Ellie being featured in the ad, her family received tickets to the Wisconsin State Fair where they can see Ellie's promotional material on display at Energy Park.

If you stop by Energy Park during the Wisconsin State Fair, you can get your picture taken with a cut-out of Ellie to help spread the message about safe digging.
