An urgent call tonight to expand Medicaid in the State of Wisconsin.
"We are now at the point where two things are clear, one is it no longer fiscally makes any sense whatsoever for the state of Wisconsin to reject these expansion dollars and we are not talking about small amounts of money. Had Wisconsin initially covered those individuals who were eligible to be covered, the State of Wisconsin would have nearly 690 million dollars more than we got right now," said Mayor Tom Barrett.
Mayor Barrett is urging Governor Scott Walker to act now. He's saying that it's not just about the city of Milwaukee but about all people in Wisconsin.
