Marquette suffers poor shooting night in loss to Xavier

Marquette shot just 35 percent from the floor, and just 42 percent from the free throw line, in Tuesday's 64-44 loss to Xavier at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

The Golden Eagles (11-12, 3-8 Big East) opened up an early lead while scoring the game's first six points, but they trailed by halftime and couldn't rally in the second half. Duane Wilson (12) and Juan Anderson (11) were the only Marquette players to score in double digits.
