Marquette starts school year with its own police department

A new police presence is on Marquette University's campus, and it promises to maintain a long-standing partnership to ensure student safety.  
Marquette's Department of Public Safety officially became a police department last May, so this marks the start of the first full school for officers on the campus beat.   Also, this is the fifth year that freshman must go through sexual misconduct prevention training..
In addition to stressing no tolerance for assaults and empathy for victims. There's also a bystander intervention program for sophomores.
