Mark Mone named Interim-Chancellor at UW-Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- University of Wisconsin System President Ray Cross named Mark Mone the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee interim chancellor during a special announcement in the student union Tuesday.


The announcement from UW System President Ray Cross comes nearly one month after Chancellor Michael Lovell anniounced he would be accepting a position at Marquette University this summer. 


Mone is professor of managment at the UW-Milwaukee Lubar School of Business, and has served as the Chancellor's Designee for Strategic Planning and Campus Climate. Mone has been a member of UW-Milwaukee faculty since 1989.


The UW Board of Regents will begin a national search for the university's next chancellor. They hope to have a new chancellor by January 1, 2015.
