Man survives 100 foot fall from lake shore bluff

Late Saturday night, a 30-year-old man fell from a bluff along the Lake Michigan shoreline in Cudahy and had to be rescued by emergency responders.   Despite falling 100-feet onto the beach below, Cudahy Police report that the man has already been discharged from the hospital.

The incident happened around 10 PM along the lake bluff at E Ramsey Avenue and S Lake Drive.

According to Cudahy Police, when officers and fire department personnel arrived, they found the man at the base of the bluff but could not reach him from above.   The South Milwaukee Fire Department was called and they were able to reach the victim by using their rescue boat.   The man was stabilized and taken to the South Shore Yacht Club.   He was then transported to Froedtert Hospital for treatment of his injuries.   He was later released from the hospital.
