Man shot during drug transaction on North 45th Street

A 19-year-old man from Milwaukee was shot during a drug transaction around 5:40 PM on September 7 in the 2900 block of N. 45th Street.  

After the shooting, the suspect was observed by officers fleeing the scene in a vehicle.  

The suspect was stopped and arrested a short distance from the scene.  A pistol believed to have been used in the shooting and a large amount of drugs were recovered from the suspect’s vehicle.  

The victim was transported to a local hospital for what is believed to be a non-life threatening injury and our investigation into this incident is ongoing.
