Man dies after striking bear with ATV in Lincoln County

TOWN OF WILSON, Wis. (WSAW) -- A 51-year-old man has died after his ATV struck a bear Thursday evening near Tomahawk. The crash was reported around 7:30 p.m. in the Town of Wilson.
Investigators said the man was west on County Road CC east of Poplar Drive when he hit the bear, rolled the ATV and was ejected.
He was airlifted to a Wausau hospital where he died of his injuries.
His name has not been released.
