Magnitude 7.1 Earthquake Hits Southern Japan

TOKYO (AP/ CNN) — A magnitude 7.1 earthquake has hit Southern Japan and a tsunami advisory has been issued. 

Another earthquake hit Japan late Thursday, according to CNN.

At least nine people died when an earthquake shook southwestern Japan's Kyushu island late Thursday, the Kumamoto Prefecture disaster management office said.

The magnitude of that quake was 6.2 quake.
