Law enforcement search for sex offender Larry Arnold

KEWASKUM -- Washington County Sheriff's Department searched the Kettle Moraine Forest area after a report of a burglary. They believe wanted sex offender, Larry Arnold, broke into the home in Kewaskum a couple of days ago.  He was spotted running in the neighboring Town of Farmington Wednesday afternoon which prompted an intensified manhunt.

According to the Washington County Sheriff's Department, a vehicle was found abandoned on a snowmobile trail in the Kettle Moraine State Forest on Saturday. The last known operator of the vehicle was Larry Arnold. The owner of the vehicle and Arnold lived together in Boltonville for a year. Arnold was last heard from on April 20th, the same day the abandoned vehicle was found.

We're told Arnold has not made any recent threats to harm himself or others, but the Washington County Sheriff's Department had cadaver sniffing dogs searching for Arnold.  Investigators said Arnold has outstanding felony warrants and he hasn't  complied with sex offender registration requirements.

Wednesday night authorities suspended the search. There's no word if an active search will resume Thursday.
