Zina Daniel's Brother Raises Awareness About Domestic Violence

BROOKFIELD---Family and friends will honor Zina Daniel at a memorial service in Milwaukee Sunday afternoon. Her brother, Elvin Daniel plans to share fond memories of his sister and also bring awareness to domestic violence. Zina's husband shot her to death on October 21st while she was working at Azana Salon and Spa in Brookfield.

Elvin is teaming up with Sojourner Family Peace Center to spread a message of hope to people in abusive relationships.

"We want to remind families living with domestic violence that they are not alone. The role of SFPC is to help prevent tragedies such as this. Please do not wait for abuse to escalate," says SFPC Executive Director, Carmen Pitre.

Zina's memorial service is taking place Sunday from 2 to 4 :00 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church located at 914 E. Knapp St. in Milwaukee. The public is invited to attend.
