Worker dies at House of Corrections in Franklin

FRANKLIN---A worker died suddenly at the House of Corrections Tuesday afternoon.

The maintenance worker had just finished his shift around 3:00 p.m. when he slumped over on a picnic bench while talking with co-workers.

Superintendent Mike Hafemann says CPR was attempted for 45 minutes before the worker was pronounced dead.

The worker had been with corrections department for 25 years.
