WISCONSIN -- A large federal investigation called Operation iGuardian resulted in the arrest of 255 child predators, with 61 victims. One of the child predators is a Wisconsin man living in Vernon County. Investigators also identified one Wisconsin child as a victim.

23-year-old Michael Eales of Westby, WI was arrested after law enforcement executed a search warrant at his mobile home. They found evidence linking him to a child victim resulting in criminal charges. The U.S. Attorney's Office is charging Eales with three counts of First Degree Child Sex Assault.

According to a release from investigators, 24 of 61 victims identified in Operation iGuardian were in contact with strangers who sexually exploited them. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director John Morton says, "Child abusers prowl social media looking for opportunities to force young people into sexual exploitation through guile, deceit, and extortion."
