CHARLOTTE, NC- Wisconsin Democratic delegates said Monday that they are feeling confident heading into this week's convention in Charlotte.

Their convention is coming on the heels of the Republican National Convention in Tampa, which saw a great deal of excitement in Wisconsin because of the Paul Ryan Vice Presidential nomination, and other big names politicians from the state attending.

"They were excited, but they were excited about a lot of hot air in my opinion," Wisconsin Democratic Delegate David Brickerman said.

Wisconsin Democrats said they are confident the country will re-elect President Obama, while the state elects Tammy Baldwin to the Senate.

The group also said that they do believe the country is better off now than it was four years ago before the President was elected.
