Whitefish Bay School District says water is safe
High school is not the source of Crypto-Sporiudium
School officials in Whitefish Bay are trying to reassure parents that the water at the local high school is safe.
Parents of Whitefish Bay High School students received an automated message Sunday saying the outbreak of Crypto-Sporiudium did not originate from the school.
The message also says that extra chlorine has been added to the school's swimming pool as a precaution and that the custodial staff is being extra diligent.
The exact origin of the outbreak is still being investigated by the North Shore Health Department.
The number of confirmed cases stands at eight.
