WHITEFISH BAY -- Police and the Whitefish Bay School District are investigating an alleged sex assault in a stairwell at the high school. The district says the incident took place on April 18th on 5:15 p.m. in a stairwell.

A 16-year-old girl told police a 15-year-old boy forced her down a stairwell, and began hugging and trying to kiss her. She allegedly told the boy to stop, and her ride was waiting on her. She alleges the boy forced her to perform oral sex on him.

The girl tells police she punched the boy in the stomach and ran away.

The 15-year-old boy told police the 16-year-old girl initiated the sexual interaction. He told police it surprised him, because their previous relationship had been intimate. Even though the girl allegedly started the interaction, he tells police he didn't stop it.

The district vows to take the appropriate disciplinary action within the district's policy. The district notified parents about this incident via e-mail.

In it's statement the district said:

"Student safety and supervision is of utmost importance to the District. All of the schools in our District continually have reviews and upgrades to insure student safety."
