Sunday's wet, wintery weather hits West Bend

WEST BEND- Snow started covering the ground in West Bend Sunday morning.

Residents took to their driveways and sidewalks to shovel or snow blow them clean.

"I am not looking forward to this, George Leinder, who was out clearing the area around the building where he lives, said.

While the streets were slushy, West Bend residents said plows had been out salting and clearing them since the flakes began falling.

"West is usually good about that," Leinder added.

The snow fall also gave kids in the area a chance to break out their sleds again and make a few snow men.

The area received about an inch of total snow.
