MILWAUKEE -- Super Storm Sandy left millions of people in the dark so utility crews headed East to help. We Energies sent about 40 workers to Detroit and then Queens, NY to restore power.

"As the power would come back on whole blocks of people would come out of their houses cheering and looking for hugs," said John Pilling who went on the trip.

Pilling and his crew worked 14 hour days through rain and snow to restore heat and light. CBS 58's Elizabeth Fay spoke with him about the response and devestation when he returned to Wisconsin on Wednesday.
