Waukesha police officer resigns amid sexting investigation

WAUKESHA -- A Waukesha police officer resigned during the midst of an investigation into his actions while on duty inside a police building.

According to the Waukesha Police Department, Officer Chris Massa was being investigated for sexting his wife from a police building while on duty. Police say the evidence they had came from the phone of Massa's wife,. and no other personnel and citizens were involved in this investigation.

Massa resigned from the department before the conclusion in the investigation. Waukesha Police Chief Russell Jack believed this investigation would have resulted in charges against Massa. Chief Jack says the investigation into Massa ended when he resigned. "I am thoroughly disappointed in Mr. Massa. His actions tarnish the badge we are all proud to wear," says Chief Jack.
