WAUKESHA -- Waukesha police identified the victim in the April 22nd shooting as 24-year-old Shanel Negron. Negron was shot in the head Monday evening in the front yard of her home at Summit Ave. and Moreland Ave. Police say their main suspect is 26-year-old Eddie Callaway, Negron's one-time boyfriend.
A woman who identified herself as the victim's sister said that she got a call that her sister had been murdered and was laying in the yard. The family told CBS 58's Rielle Creightom that the victim was in an abusive relationship.
Callaway is still at large and considered armed and dangerous. He was seen leaving the scene of the shooting in a 2002 Ford Taurus, license plates 394TVK.
Waukesha Police is asking anyone who has information about Callaway's location to contact them at 262-524-3780. If you encounter Callaway, call 911.
