Pewaukee -- A Waukesha County man is facing charges of disorderly conduct and mistreating animals.

According to the criminal complaint, Genia Radusin, 35, "got very angry with the dog because the dog chewed on a couch."  A woman inside the apartment at the time told police Radusin "was yelling, screaming, throwing, kicking, and hitting the dog to the point where it was very loud."

When the officer arrived to the apartment late Friday night, he "detected an odor of intoxicants coming from the defendant," according to the complaint.

Documents also say "he had picked up the dog and threw him on the balcony."  The officer noted it was 16 degrees outside that night.
