Waukesha County School on Lockdown for Short Time

HARTLAND---The superintendent with the Hartland/Lakeside School District tells CBS 58 News that Hartland North Elementary School was put on lockdown Thursday afternoon after students reported a suspicious looking man possibly with a gun.

Dr. Glenn Schilling tells CBS 58 that the school was on lockdown from 2:30 p.m. until an alternative dismissal of 3:30 p.m.

As of 4:00 p.m. no one had been located after a sweep of the woods.

There also was no evidence that any shots were fired.

Police remain on scene investigating.
