Water deal in the works
WAUKESHA -- The city of Waukesha now has a tentative deal to buy Lake Michigan water.
Waukesha has put together a 40 year deal with the city of Oak Creek. The deal has to be approved by the DNR and all the other Great Lakes states. If approved, the deal would go through 2050. Waukesha will be taking nearly 11 million gallons from the lake each day and then returning that water to the lake in the form of treated wastewater. |
