Walker to make decision regarding Affordable Care Act
WISCONSIN -- Governor Scott Walker should reveal today if he plans to follow new rules regarding health insurance or if he'll let the federal government deal with it.
Part of the Affordable Care Act calls for states to set up "health exchanges". They are places where people and small businesses can shop for their own insurance. Governor Walker must decide if the state will set up these exchanges or if he will ignore the law and let the federal government set them up. Governor Walker will hold a press conference and make his decision Friday afternoon. The deadline was supposed to be Friday for Governors to decide, but it has been pushed back until December 14. |
