Walker aide pleads guilty to felony theft

MILWAUKEE---Timothy Russel, a former aide to Governor Scott Walker, pled guilty to theft in court Thursday after being accused of embezzling money from a veteran's organization.

Russell appeared in court this afternoon facing two felony counts of theft and one misdemeanor theft charge. Two of the charges were dropped, but Russell pled guilty to a felony charge of stealing more than $10,000.

The former Walker aide is one of six people charged in connection with the John Doe investigation.
