MILWAUKEE --- After being abruptly fired, Sue Black tells CBS 58 she has hired an attorney.

Attorney Frank Gimbel has advised Black not to talk about the details surrounding her recent firing. Black did release the following statement.

"I am being advised by my attorney not to discuss the circumstances of the situation. I will be able to address it in the very near future. I love Milwaukee, and I love the Milwaukee County Parks System."

On Thursday Chris Abele released a statement saying he was searching for a replacement for the Parks Director position.

Since then, CBS 58 has learned some details surrounding Black's termination.

Two sources familiar with the situation said that Black’s recent handling of a lease for the Crystal Ridge Ski Hill in Franklin is what brought things to a head.

County Executive Chris Abele's spokesperson, Brendan Conway could not confirm that Black's firing had anything to do with the Crystal Ridge lease. However, he did provide the following statement.

"County Executive Abele strongly supports public/private partnerships, and in the end we believe the Crystal Ridge deal has exciting potential for Milwaukee County taxpayers. However, under Sue Black's leadership, this proposal initially was rushed to the County Board without proper internal and DNR review. Fortunately, our office was able to increase the transparency of the process and put safeguards in place to minimize the risk to taxpayers."
