MILWAUKEE --- Two teens are facing arson charges after allegedly setting fire to the exterior of El Rey grocery store earlier this month.

The complaint alleges that 18-year-old Miguel Rubio and 17-year-old Alexander Karsten set fire to the structure housing the grocery carts which started the blaze that caused hundreds of thousands in damage to the family owned grocery store.

On the evening of Jan 2nd the boys told police they were in the area of the grocery store trying to find cigarettes to smoke and they claimed it was the lit cigarettes that may have caused the fire.

When police released surveillance video of the teens and it was posted to the web, a Facebook user recognized the two suspects and called police.

The teens now face charges of arson. Their next court appearances will be on February 19th.
