Two motorcycle riders severely injured after colliding with two cars
RACINE COUNTY—Two people riding on a motorcycle were severely injured after colliding with two cars.
The accident happened late Saturday night on the 17200 block of Spring Street in the Town of Yorkville.
The Racine County Sheriff’s Office said that just before midnight a motorcycle was traveling westbound and passing vehicles when it collided with an eastbound traveling car.
Then it struck a car traveling westbound.
There were two people on the motorcycle and they both had severe injuries.
One of the victims was taken to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital in Racine. The other victim was taken to St. Catherine’s Hospital in Kenosha. Both were later transported to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.
Authorities said that speed and heavy fog were believed to be contributing factors in the crash.
Neither victim was wearing a helmet.The names of the victims are not being released at this time.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
