Two high schools evacuated after bomb scares
GRAFTON—Bomb scares caused two evacuations at area high schools Tuesday morning.
About 700 students at Grafton High School had to leave school after a bomb threat was found somewhere in the building around 8 a.m.
The students were able to return back to class after the police came and swept the building and didn’t find anything.
Students waited at St. Joseph’s Church while police responded to the threat.
Around the same time in Racine students were evacuated at Park High School.
Police were called to that school after someone found what looked like an improvised explosive device made out of a soda bottle on the third floor of the school.
Police removed the object and students were back in class by 9 a.m.
There is currently no word on what the device actually was.
