Milwaukee's Largest Food Fight: Tomato Romp!

Tools

by Rielle Creighton

MILWAUKEE--From a far it can look like a blood bath, but it's actually Milwaukee's biggest annual all out food fight.

Every year pounds of tomatoes are flung, thrown, hurled at folks inside a pit on Milwaukee's East Side.

At the end it's a soupey, tomatoey mess that all seem to enjoy being covered in.

The event is sponsored by the East Side Business District to raise money in the fight against hunger.

"Most of them explode when they hit you, it's pretty painful," said Alex Siebers, who said he aims to throw the fruit like a baseball at other.

Siebers was one of more than 100 combatants who showed up for the event.

I say carry and conceal with tomatoes. Bush says shoes are better to carry and conceal, that man has sole.
