Deputies stepped up patrols over holiday weekend

MILWAUKEE COUNTY--The Milwaukee County Sheriff Office stepped up patrols over the holiday weekend to crack down on drunk drivers and other traffic offenders.

Deputies arrested 22 people for drunk driving which is up from 16 last year.

The Sheriff Office said that it also ticketed 354 drivers for speeding and 81 for not wearing a seatbelt.

Both of those figures are also higher than last year.

The Sheriff said that added patrols will remain on the roads thru the end of the year.
