Teenager Taking the Fall for Murderer
MILWAUKEE---A 16-year-old boy made his first court appearance Tuesday on a series of charges related to a deadly home invasion last month.
The judge requested we not show his face. We here at CBS 58 have granted that request and are not using the teen's name in case the prosecution is moved back down to juvenile court at a later date. Police say the teen wasn't the shooter, but witnesses put him at the scene of a robbery where a 21-year-old man was shot dead near 35th and Silver Spring. The dead man's 12-year-old sister was also shot and survived. Under state law, alleged accomplices can be charged with the same crime as the actual killer. Police say they are still looking for the shooter. The teen defendant charged today will remain in juvenile detention. His bail was set at $250,000. |
