MILWAUKEE -- The teen driver accused of driving a stolen daycare van and leading police on a high speed chase through four counties is sentenced to eight and a half years in prison.

Dvarion Beamon, 18, was found guilty of leading law enforcement from six different agencies on a chase reaching speeds of 85 miles per hour.

Officials say Dvarion and four other teens stole the minivan from ABC Daycare center and tried to break into several homes.

Milwaukee Police got a call about the burglaries and tried to pull the van over near 60th and Center, but the van took off. Police followed the van through several neighborhoods until they had to stop for safety reasons.

Menomonee Falls Police took over the chase and officers from Racine and Kenosha Counties tried to stop the van. Officers were finally able to stop the suspects on I-94 in Kenosha County.

Beamon will also serve a 10-year extended supervision sentence
